Competition the Golden Field in Latvia

Golden Field in Latvia is a seasonal yearly competition since 2010 where specialists of agricultural sector are involved to judge the cornfields of winter wheat and canola and sowing of beans, crop and quality of cultivated plants.

Green Field in Latvia 2015 is organised with the target to evaluate the achievements of five years period and popularise experience of the most successful growers.

The Fund invites to participate farmers who manage at least 350 ha and fields of winter wheat and canola are more than 10 ha, but fields of bean – 7 ha. At least two fields have to be applied for by a farmer. There are requirements for an infrastructure, plans of fertilising, use of protection means for plants and correspondence to the Rules for Good Agricultural Practices. The fields of applicants are visited by the commission of the event and samples are taken for a test.
